Clumber Calendars and Clumber Club Championship Show – more information

Please note the following:
 
Calendar Update – if you’re not at the Club Show but are at Driffield – see John Newsham, he has a supply of calendars with him.
 
The Club Show is Sunday 2nd October at Overseal. We have been told that the grass is now available to be used again, so if the ground and weather conditions permit, we shall be outside on the grass. So please dress accordingly!

It looks like a fab time was had by all at the Clumber Walk at Sutton Park today, they even found some mud. A few pictures below.

Sutton Clumber Walk – September 18th

A message from Barbara;

Hi folks – details about our next walk on Sunday 18th September in Sutton Park are set out below. As usual we would appreciate it if you would confirm your attendance by email or text and ensure we have your mobile number in case we have to change anything at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Sutton Park is near Sutton Coldfield. For satnavs use the address of the Asian Grill restaurant just opposite the entrance, which is 91 Park Road, Sutton Coldfield, B73 6BT. Enter the park at the Town Gate entrance which is just off Tudor Hill.

CAR PARK: There is an entry charge of £2 on Sundays and once through the gate, the car park is along the road on the left.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS: We will meet at 10.30am outside the Visitor Centre, ready to start the walk at 11am There are public toilets in the Café back near the entrance gate, plus one inside the Visitor Centre. There is also a Costa signed in the trees to the left of the Visitor Centre.

THE WALK: The park covers 970 hectares of a mixture of heathland, wetlands and marshes, seven lakes and extensive ancient woodland. The walk is just under 3 miles on varied paths which are all well used. Some are across heath, others are hard surface and some just woodland paths, there are seats at various points on the route as well as an ice cream van.

AFTER THE WALK: At the end of the walk approximately 15 minutes from the car park we will pass the Blackroot Bistro which has a wide range of food including soup, sandwiches, paninis and cake etc for those who want to stay to have lunch. LAST CALL for Clumber Spaniel Club Championship Show

Eunice (The Club Secretary) has emailed to say that although the entries have closed she is able accept entries that arrive with her up until Monday (12th September). Any entries received after Monday will be unable to be accepted as they will have gone to the printers.
