Rescue Clumber Special in the Autumn/Winter Clumber Clips

I’d like to dedicate a couple of pages in the next to Clumber Clips to Clumber Spaniels that have been through rescue.

All I’m looking for is pictures, so if you have a rescue Clumber, please send me your pictures to webmaster@clumberspanielclub.org.uk with the dogs name.
I don’t need anything more than that. The owners name and location will remain anonymous – let’s celebrate these Clumbers in their “Forever Homes” please?

So far I’ve had one picture – I’m sure you can improve on that!

We’re halfway through the Obreedience heats – only two heats to go!

The Kennel Club Obreedience competitions are now over the halfway mark point. These heats have been taking place around the country at Breed, General Canine and Obedience shows and have been a great success.

The purpose of Obreedience is to encourage more breeds to ‘have a go’ at some of the tests associated with competitive obedience but in a less formal and less competitive environment. To date, there are nine teams which have won qualifying points to enable them to be in with a chance of being able to compete at the world’s biggest dog show, Crufts 2017.

The points for these competitions can be found here.

Why not enter a team into one of the final few heats?

Kennel Club – Canine Sports Science Seminar

There are still places available on the Canine Sports Science Seminar – the deadline to book is Friday 28th October.

The event takes place on Sunday 27th November at the Kennel Club Building in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Led by professionals from the world of canine health, treatment, training and nutrition, the seminar aims to help handlers, instructors and trainers get the best performance from their dogs, with an emphasis on avoiding injuries and taking a holistic approach to the care of canine athletes.

The seminar is geared towards all working dog activities, from agility to working trials, obedience to heelwork to music, field trials to flyball. The seminar opens for registration at 8.15am and will finish at 5.30pm. Each delegate will attend all four sessions, with three speakers talking before lunch, and then two after lunch. Lunch and refreshments are included in the price.
