Please note that this is a reply received by Eunice (Honorary Secretary) from the Kennel Club regarding entry requirements for Special Award Classes

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that the dog does not need to be entered in the breed classes to be able to compete in the special award classes.

I attach the link to where this is stated on The Kennel Club website but in case you can’t find it, I have copied it below for you as well.

13. Must dogs be entered for competition in the main show to take part?

No, a dog need not be entered in the main show to enter the SAC. However, the entry must be made in the normal way prior to the closing date of entries.
