Exercise Induced Collapse Update

The Kennel Club have today announced that the test carried out by Laboklin is now an Official DNA Test for Clumber Spaniels. The voluntary database of results is being updated regularly and it is very pleasing that a growing number of dogs are receiving a “clear” result. Members of both the Clumber Spaniel Club and Working Clumber Spaniel Society are entitled to a 10% discount on the cost of a test.

Full details can be found on the EIC page

Exercise Induced Collapse

A Clumber Spaniel has tested positive for Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC); the test was carried out by Laboklin however this test is not yet validated for Clumber Spaniels. In order to validate the test for the breed they need to DNA test more dogs which are showing the EIC symptoms therefore we need to hear from anyone with a Clumber Spaniel displaying symptoms of this condition.

More information can be found on the EIC Health Page.
