Eye Testing Day

Clumber Spaniel Eye Testing – Sunday 1st October 2017

A BVA eye testing session will be held in conjunction with the Championship Show at Bearley village Hall, Snitterfield Road, Bearley, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 0SR. Pre-booking is essential as each dog will be given an individual time slot. Dogs do not need to be entered for the show but they will be registered as a “spectator” for the day at no additional charge.

Testing will again be carried out by Nick Burden from the BVA/KC Eye Scheme panel. The cost of eye tests as shown on the booking form below are subsidised by the Clumber Spaniel Club. Members (paid by 1st March 2017) will receive a £20 discount, and non-members will receive a £10 discount. In addition all Clumbers over 8 years old will be tested free of charge. Please note acceptance of the discounted fee indicates agreement for the results to be included in the Club’s database.

Total fees must be submitted with the booking form. In the event of cancellation all cheques will be returned. The dog’s KC Registration Certificate must be presented at the time of the test.

For those unable to attend this session the Club will refund £10 for each dog tested and owned by an existing member and £5 for each dog tested and owned by a non member when a copy of the eye test certificate is received by the Breed Health Coordinator.

The current breed health plan recommends that “All Clumber Spaniels being bred should hold a current eye certificate and others should be tested at regular intervals to monitor eye health; this is recommended to be at 2,6 and 10 years of age.”
