We have had Visitors
Having reviewed the last Health Survey, the Health & Welfare Sub Committee is concerned by the high percentage of breeding problems reported. There are two initiatives planned as a result; a further health survey form specifically seeking more information on this aspect will be sent to all those who have registered litters and a Seminar on “Health & Welfare in Dog Breeding” will be held on Sunday, 17th October. See right.
There are also two initiatives for fund raising for the Health Research Fund; it is intended to use this fund at a future date to assist members with health tests on their Clumbers. We are planning to have a stall at the Clumber Championship Show selling second-hand books, DVD’s and CD’s. Therefore, if you have any books, DVD’s or CD‘s which you no longer want, please bring them along to the Championship Show and support this very worthy effort. Secondly we are launching a 100 Club; See left.

The planned Working Gundog Certificate Test Day was postponed as further training days are needed first. These training days will provide members with the opportunity to learn the necessary handling skills to bring out their dogs working ability. A chance to prove that Clumbers are “Fit for Function”. The next training day will be held on Monday, 30th August at Broadway, Worcestershire. Anyone requiring more information about the Working Gundog Certificate, interested in attending the training days or just training their dogs should contact Chris Page on 01489 589734 or micklemess@ic24.net
The Kennel Club has approved the change to the Breed Standard Gait/Movement Clause, to remove "Rolling Gait attributable to long body and short legs", approved by members at the 2009 AGM, and is effective from the 1st March 2010
Also approved is the following additional clause for the Club's Code of Ethics:
"It is recommended that all KC/ BVA health screening schemes appropriate for the breed be used to
establish the health of breeding stock prior to being bred from."
This was approved by members at the Special General Meeting held after the 2009 Championship Show.

Clumber Spaniel Club Launches 100 Club
The 100 Club will benefit the Clumber Health Fund
The next International Clumber Spaniel Symposium will be hosted by the Swedish Clumber Club in 2011.
Welcome to the latest version of the CSC website. Club websites need contributions &
feedback from members. Particularly useful are good quality high resolution pictures of
Clumber Spaniels and their owners.
Right now I would like to find a picture of a clumber looking for something, to replace the GSP on the error 404, not found page. The next possible project is a simple online pedigree program.
If you keep a database of Clumber Pedigrees and can extract a CSV file, please contact me at
